Pewter Vase, Huluping

What is it, by the way ?

Shaped after a gourd, the vase features a bee bustling around gourd flowers. While the Chinese character for ‘bee’ sounds like the words ‘prosperity’ and ‘bountiful’, the long coiling tendril of the gourd flowers is a symbol of never-ending good fortune and prosperous family with many descendants.
